The future of BritVoyage
Happy new year readers,
BritVoyage has been live and serving you since 1st January 2019, and what a ride it has been. I started this blog with the aim to share my favourite UK destinations and travel tips with the general public, and also as an outlet for my passion for writing and literature.
Now, I’m a mum of two, and a secondary school teacher with a responsibility for a whole subject department. As much as I would love to, I just don’t get the time to write any more, and I think that’s evident in how regularly I have posted in the last couple of years. So that leads me to a decision – do I keep BritVoyage live, paying a fortune for the hosting, plugins, and research packages, or do I take a step back?
I’ve worked so hard on some of these posts, and poured my heart and soul into this website, but it’s not feasible for me to continue…
So…
BritVoyage will remain live for the rest of 2024, but from 2025 will no longer exist as it currently does. I will continue to own the rights to the domain, and am happy to do so for the next few years at least, but I this content will no longer be available to read from January 2025.
Instead, I will be transferring some of my best posts into video and image format, and posting them on the BritVoyage Instagram and TikTok accounts. Some of the posts will be embedded into a book, and some of the posts will be transferred to my sister site GeorgiaAnnEssex.com.
Wishing all readers a wonderful new year, and I’m hoping you’ll continue to support me on this new venture.
